Château Peyrassol - Le Clos Rosé BIO
La Commanderie de Peyrassol was founded in the 13th Century by the Order of the Knights Templar. Situated in the foothills of the Massif des Maures, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Verdon Gorge, it comprises nearly 850 hectares of oak trees, olive trees, and scrubland, which protect the age-old and renowned Château Peyrassol vineyard at the centre of the estate.
Peyrassol has established itself as one of the leading wine estates in the Côtes de Provence with Rosés that are authentically Provençal, recognised for their great elegance.
Produced only in the best vintages since 2009, this cuvée comes from the "Clos Peyrassol" vineyard, one of the estate's finest plots, surrounded by low stone walls at the foot of the Templar buildings.
Extremely pale pink in color, this emblematic Le Clos Rosé cultivates elegance, finesse and concentration. This is a lacy wine, with aromas of white cherry blossom, citrus fruit and white fruit (peach, pear). Fresh and generous on the palate, it immediately delivers the complexity typical of great wines. The aromas are gradually released and intermingle to offer the full expression of the grape varieties of Provence in their chosen terroirs. This wine is very long on the palate, elegantly prolonged by charming salinity.
We recommend this Rosé with food such as monkfish medallions with lemon butter or a fine peach and fromage frais tart. It's a subtle match that reflects the great terroirs of Provence.
