Domaine de la Bégude - Bandol Rosé BIO
This is the perfect expression of a Rosé made in Bandol!
Domaine de la Bégude is located on the highest point of the Bandol appellation, at an altitude of 410 meters, more than 300 hectares of land lie in the shade of the mountain Sainte Baume, on the Cadière d’Azur, protecting in their garrigue ramparts, 30 hectares of vines. Overlooking the sea, the famous Bandol grape variety "Mourvèdre" shows all its glory. This the largest reservoir in the world of this grape variety.
The estate is an incomparable model of biodiversity in which flora and fauna cohabit in complete tranquillity, and where the vine finds its balance. In order to protect this wild nature, the Domaine de La Bégude has banned all weedkillers, pesticides and chemical fertilisers since 1996.
With its beautiful coral-coloured appearance, this Rosé seduces wine lovers with its aromas of small red fruits such as raspberries and wild strawberries before developing fresh citrus notes. The palate has the same aromatic flavors as on the nose, enriched by fine notes of hawthorn. Sapid and juicy, it is carried by a very coated and refreshing acidity ending on a beautiful salinity.
A must as an aperitif with a plate of Cured Ham and Salami. Also pairs great with spicy dishes and it is the ideal partner for Steak Tartar and grilled meats with Provence herbs.
One of the great prides of the estate! Ready to drink now but will nicely age up to more than 5 years.
