Barrique Rosé Collection

More and more winegrowers break boundaries to create more structured and multi-layered Rosé wines. Some Rosés are even crafted like the greatest wines from Burgundy! We’re talking fermentation and aging in oak barrels.

The added depth from fermentation or aging in oak create a new style of Rosé that is very food-friendly and capable of standing up to dishes like dark meat! These Gourmet Rosés are very versatile. They can be enjoyed during a Summer Barbecue with grilled meat or during Festive season and as a general rule with heavier food!

This box contains 6 bottles, each 0.75 l.

Bodegas Gratias - Bobal Rosé

The lovely family Gratias is running this winery with so much passion and love! It’s a low intervention artisanal production. Part of the fermentation for this unique Rosé happens in oak barrels and ages then 3 months on its lees. With only a light filtration without fining agents, cold stabilization sediments can appear in the bottle.

This Rosé is rather dark, with a nice body and delicate creaminess. Intense nose of red fruits, emphasizing typical aromas of the Bobal grape. Wide mouth, silky, great length and with light harmonic tannins. Perfect Rosé for Beef Steak, Pork Ribs and all BBQs but also great to enjoy by itself due to its great harmony.

Château d'Or et de Gueules - Parle à mon fût Rosé BIO

The truly unique family winery Château d'Or et de Gueules from the southern Rhône area has a big environmental commitment to protect nature for future generations. It reflects their choice to practice environmentally friendly farming. Respect of the environment is rooted into the genes at the Domaine. No plastic, self sufficient due to an own production of solar energy and no artificial additions to the wine making. The owner and winemaker Mathieu Chatain is a real character!

The fermentation for this characterful Rosé happens in French oak barrels with an aging in concrete tanks. The result is a dynamic Rosé where you can't really taste the wood due to its elegant integration. However this Rosé has enough body from the flavorful Syrah grapes to accompany Steaks and BBQ and adds some fresh flavors to each meal. Not your typical Rosé but one of our favorites!

Château Pas Du Cerf - Grand Cuvée Audace

Pure expression of the terroir of Château Pas du Cerf, the great Audace Rosé is part of the restricted circle of the most sought-after Rosés from the Provence. Between the maritime fumes and the great forest, the Cuvée Audace Rosé stands out by its exceptional minerality as well as by the purity, which gives it a truly rare character. The quality here is at the maximum with only the best selection of free-run juices, no pressing of the grapes! Aging in stainless steel vats then in oak barrels for 2 months.

Nose: Beautiful aromatic complexity around exotic fruits. The intense nose reveals the power and refinement of the wine. A mineral imprint is the accent of the terroir. Mouth: The roundness reflects the power and the charm of the wine where the fresh and fair acidity offers us a wine full of elegance. It exudes seductive aromas of exotic fruits that invite the senses to travel. Gourmet, complex and fine with a very good finish, a high class wine.

Château de la Gaude - Mademoiselle Rosé BIO

Château de la Gaude is just ten minutes from the city centre of Aix-en-Provence and offers a breath-taking view of Montagne Sainte-Victoire, the ultimate symbol of the Provence. The beautiful "Bastide" is now a 5 star luxury hotel with a Michelin star gourmet restaurant.

The elegance and superior standards of the hotel and restaurant are also implemented in the vineyard and winery. The start of vinification of the Mademoiselle Rosé is made in stainless steel vats afterwards it is aging on the lees in "demi-muids", 400 liter sized French oak barrels.

Château de la Gaude "Mademoiselle" has very expressive notes of small red fruits and grapefruit. A very round juicy mouthfeel with notes of white flowers and aromas of dried rose. All supported by a nice acidity. This Gourmet Rosé is a perfect wine for food pairing! Some inspiration for your perfect Rosé pairing would be Red mullet with peppers or a Provençal-style rabbit with fennel but it also pairs deliciously with grilled meat and sausages.
