Figuière - Rose Bay BIO

🌊 A Grand Provence Rosé Crafted for Memorable Moments

The Rose Bay Rosé 2025 belongs to a rare category of Rosé wines that transcend the traditional aperitif style. Produced from exceptional hillside vineyards in La Londe, this prestige cuvée combines the freshness and elegance of Provence with the depth, texture and complexity of a fine gastronomic wine.

Elegant yet powerful, Rose Bay captures the essence of the Mediterranean coastline, offering remarkable precision, saline freshness and an impressively long finish.

The Terroir of La Londe

The Côtes de Provence La Londe appellation is widely regarded as one of Provence's most distinctive terroirs. Located directly opposite the Golden Islands, the vineyards benefit from constant sea breezes, abundant sunshine and unique schist soils streaked with white quartz. These maritime conditions create wines renowned for their freshness, minerality and saline character.

Old Grenache and Rolle vines planted more than forty years ago contribute concentration and aromatic depth, while Mourvèdre grown facing the sea adds structure and complexity.

Each grape variety is harvested and vinified separately to preserve its unique expression.

Oak Ageing – Depth Without Dominance

A defining feature of Rose Bay Rosé is its meticulous ageing programme. Fifty percent of the wine remains in stainless steel tanks to preserve purity, freshness and aromatic precision. The remaining fifty percent is matured in carefully selected 500-litre oak barrels previously used for several vintages.

Rather than imparting strong oak flavours, these barrels allow gentle micro-oxygenation, adding texture, depth and complexity. The result is a Rosé with subtle layers of vanilla, cardamom, brioche and sweet spice, beautifully integrated with the wine's vibrant fruit and mineral backbone. The palate becomes silkier, broader and remarkably persistent.

Tasting Notes

Color: Pale pink with golden and pearlescent reflections.

👃 Nose: White peach, apricot and lychee are layered with pink pepper, delicate floral notes and subtle sea-spray freshness. Hints of vanilla and cardamom add elegance and sophistication.

👄 Palate: Rich yet remarkably precise. Vibrant minerality and delicate salinity create tension and freshness, while partial barrel ageing contributes creamy depth and a silky texture. Notes of candied citrus and flinty minerality linger through an exceptionally long finish.

Food Pairings – Mediterranean Fine Dining

Rose Bay Rosé shines alongside refined coastal cuisine:

• 🦞 Langoustines in saffron broth
• 🦀 King crab with citrus butter
• 🌊 Sea urchin scrambled eggs on toasted brioche
• 🐟 Bonito tartare with yuzu and olive oil
• 🥩 Classic Vitello Tonnato

Ageing Potential

Unlike most rosés, Rose Bay is designed for both immediate enjoyment and graceful ageing. Over time, it develops additional layers of spice, creaminess and savoury complexity.
